{"id":36,"date":"2024-01-24T10:29:50","date_gmt":"2024-01-24T10:29:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/127.0.0.1\/nhsnightingale\/?page_id=36"},"modified":"2024-01-24T10:29:50","modified_gmt":"2024-01-24T10:29:50","slug":"prescriptions","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/gp1.tim-jackson.com\/index.php\/prescriptions\/","title":{"rendered":"Prescriptions"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">5.3 Prescriptions page<br>Prescriptions<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ordering repeat prescriptions<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The easiest ways to order repeat prescriptions are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">using your NHS account (https:\/\/www.nhs.uk\/nhs-app\/account\/) (through the NHS website or in the NHS App)<br>using the GP online system: [Insert name of practice system tool]<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These accounts show you all your repeat medicine and dosage and you can choose the ones you need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can also:<br>fill out a repeat prescriptions request form<br>bring the paper form to the surgery, Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 6.30pm<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We do not take repeat prescription requests over the phone or email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Collecting your prescription<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can usually collect your prescription from the pharmacy 3 to 5 working days after you have ordered it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You will need to choose a pharmacy to collect your prescription from. We call this nominating a pharmacy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can change your nominated pharmacy at any time:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">on the app or website where you order repeat prescriptions<br>at your GP practice<br>at any pharmacy that accepts repeat prescriptions<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Questions about your prescription<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have questions about your medicine, your local pharmacists can answer these. They can also answer questions onmedicines you can buy without a prescription.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The NHS website has information on how your medicine works, how and when to take it, possible side effects and answersto your common questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Go to Medicines A to Z (nhs.uk) (https:\/\/www.nhs.uk\/medicines\/)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you would like to speak to someone at the GP surgery about your prescription:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">phone our pharmacist after 10am on 0123 445 6678<br>fill in our medication query form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Medication reviews<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have a repeat prescription, we may ask you to come in for a regular review. Do not put it in your household bin or flush it down thetoilet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">About pharmacists<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As qualified healthcare professionals, pharmacists can offer advice on minor illnesses such as:<br>coughs<br>colds<br>sore throats<br>tummy trouble<br>aches and pains<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They can also advise on medicine that you can buy without a prescription.<br>Find a pharmacy (nhs.uk) (https:\/\/www.nhs.uk\/service-search\/pharmacy\/find-a-pharmacy)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Many pharmacies are open until late and at weekends.
